Add
a little LIFT to your environment:
As the natural law of cause and effect dictates,
we are all creators of our own reality. For years, the western world has
milked our planet, with the result that it is now shrinking and dying around
us.
Each and every one of us has a personal responsibility to do our bit for
the planet, and there are so many easy steps we can take to start making
a difference right now. Here are a few ideas that you can do today:
Recycle
Use recycling banks for everything from newspapers and bottles to cans and
clothing. If your local council provides a recycling scheme, even better:
save yourself the petrol, reducing emissions in the process.
Start sharing
We’re all surrounded by possessions, many of which we no longer need.
Here are some great ways you can choose to reuse: spread the message by
passing on your personal development books to friends and family; pass on
toys that your children have finished with to playgroups, nurseries or friends;
take that pile of glossy magazines to your local surgery; donate unused
bric-a-brac to a charity shop; use old carrier bags as bin-liners…
How many more can you think of?
Double up
Always use both sides of pieces of paper. So, when you’ve finished
with your Goal Maps and Life Maps, give them to your children – they
can have a go at creating their own on the reverse.
Smile!
Share a smile with a stranger: it’s easy, it’s free, and it’s
a powerful way of respecting others. |
